Shelf locations and picking by location

Use location codes to find products and organise warehouse preparation without splitting site inventory into a second stock system.

Revised:

Shelf management is being introduced. Its screens become available with the shelf-management release; ask your administrator if you do not see them.

A code inside a warehouse site

A shelf location belongs to a site. Its code identifies a physical place; the product’s site quantity remains the inventory quantity. A product can be assigned to more than one shelf location without duplicating its stock.

Create and label locations

The shelf-management screen supports individual codes and a preview of generated rows and levels. Print location codes with the existing label tools on A4 sheets or a label printer. Scan the physical label to look up the products associated with that location.

Prepare an order

Picking lines can include shelf codes in shelf order. Check the actual item and available quantity as well as the code. A location lookup is not a physical stock count, and an occupied location cannot simply be deleted while products are assigned to it.
