The barcode does not describe condition
Two items with the same model or barcode can have different conditions and prices. Choose the appropriate stock classification and record the actual condition. An AI identification result cannot replace opening, inspecting and testing returned goods.
Record the defects
Use condition notes and damage photos to document missing accessories, packaging damage or faults. Those facts can appear in the webshop product description so buyers can assess the offer. A clean background image must not conceal information needed to describe the item honestly.
Record the inventory movement
Use the relevant warehouse or sales return workflow for the real event. Check the original item, quantity, site and resale eligibility before putting it back into sellable stock. Keep uncertain products pending review rather than automatically treating every returned unit as new.
