Revised:
The clock starts at receiving
Seasonal products earn most of their margin in a few weeks. Every day a Christmas or Easter lot spends unlisted in the warehouse is a day of lost demand. Plan intake capacity before the delivery arrives, and list the lot in one focused session instead of spreading it over weeks.
Group for how customers shop
Shoppers look for themes and rooms, not for lot numbers: tree decorations, lights, table decor, gifts, Easter baskets. Create collections and subcollections for these themes so a whole lot is browsable on the day it goes live, both in the webshop and in a B2B catalogue for partner shops.
Use the label, not memory
Seasonal lots are often re-runs of earlier years with new article numbers. Photograph the hang tag to capture size, material and article number, and reuse confirmed identifications from previous seasons so repeat items are listed without retyping.
End-of-season decisions
Before the season ends, decide what to discount, what to offer to partners in bulk and what to store for next year. Accurate stock by location makes this decision quick. Products that remain should keep their listings as drafts so they return to sale next season in minutes.
