Revised:
The business
reBase is a Hungarian retailer run by Planet Home Kft. selling overstock and seasonal goods through its own Shopify store and partner shops. A large share of its stock comes from European discount retail overstock: decorations, household items, small electronics and toys, each lot different from the last.
The problem
Every delivery brought dozens of products that had never been listed before. Packaging was often in Dutch, German or Polish, and the only reliable data was the barcode and the hang tag. Typing listings by hand in the office slowed down sales and left products in the warehouse unlisted.
The new workflow
Warehouse staff now photograph the product and its label and scan the barcode on a phone. WareRushAI identifies the item, reads the label (article number, size, material, importer), writes the listing, picks the Shopify category, removes the background and suggests a price that the team approves. Products sync to Shopify with collections and stock, and a partner shop orders from the same live catalogue.
What the team learned
Photographing the label is the single most useful habit: it carries facts that a barcode scan does not. Keeping price approval with people avoided mistakes, and organising products into customer-facing collections made both the webshop and the partner catalogue easier to browse. The team now uses the same system for its partner orders.
