Stocky alternative for overstock, returns and B2B stock

Shopify retired its Stocky app in 2026. What merchants with mixed, fast-changing stock should look for in a replacement.

Revised:

What changed with Stocky

Shopify removed Stocky from the App Store in early 2026 and ended the app on 31 August 2026; basic purchase orders, receiving and transfers moved into the Shopify admin. Merchants who used Stocky for forecasting or stocktakes need to export their history and choose how to continue. Check Shopify’s own announcement for the details that apply to your store.

When the built-in tools are enough

A store with a stable catalogue of repeat products, supplier purchase orders and one or two locations can often manage with the Shopify admin. The gap appears when every delivery contains different products: overstock lots, customer returns, seasonal goods or liquidation stock. Then the slow part is not counting stock but creating hundreds of new, accurate product listings.

What to look for in a replacement

For mixed stock, look for intake on a phone from a photo or barcode, automatic product text and Shopify categories that a person can review, bin locations and labels, two-way stock sync with Shopify, and a way to offer the same stock to wholesale partners. Prices should be suggested with a source and approved by a person, never invented.

How WareRushAI fits

WareRushAI was built in an overstock business. Warehouse staff photograph a product or scan its barcode; the system identifies it, writes the listing in English and Hungarian, chooses a category from the official Shopify product taxonomy, removes the photo background and suggests a price for approval. Products, images, collections and stock then sync to Shopify, and partners can order from a live B2B catalogue. You can try it free for 14 days.
